Volcanoes Safaris have launched a brand new luxury safari lodge in Uganda, on the edge of the Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The lodge, which was originally a coffee store and processing plant, has been sensitively restored to offer guests a contemporary space in the wilderness. The accomodation boasts four spacious bandas, each with its own luxury bathroom and panoramic views across the gorge, savannah and mythical Rwenzoris.
Guests staying at the Kyambura Gorge Lodge can experience chimp tracking in the nearby Kyambura Gorge and Kalinzu forest. Alternatively, holidaymakers can take a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth to spot lions, elephant, antelope, buffalo and some of the 600 birds species that live there.
Praveen Moman, MD of Volcanoes Sararis, said: "The focus for 2012 is to give our guests the opportunity to explore an amazing combination of wildlife and primates that the areas have to offer, whether at the contemporary Kyambura Gorge where you can track chimpanzees and view over 600 species of bird; or at the newly refurbished Bwindi Lodge where there are four gorilla families that can be seen in their natural habitat”
The opening of Volcanoes Kyambura Gorge Lodge marks the fourth property in the Volcanoes Collection. Prices start from £1,500pp.
