Swiss summer rail tours see prices fall
Thursday, 7 May 2009 12:00 AM
Hop on the train in Switzerland this summer and enjoy savings of up to £132 on a choice of rail tours, courtesy of the Switzerland Travel Centre (STC).
The above saving applies to departures until June 24th on the seven-night ‘Swiss Classical Tour’, a journey combining stays in four classical cities – Lucerne, St Moritz, Zermatt and Geneva.
Excursions are part of the package too and include a trip on the legendary Glacier Express and cogwheel train rides to Mount Rigi and Gornergrat, with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.
The itinerary also allows plenty of time for rest and relaxation to take in walking and hiking trails through glorious countryside and city sightseeing and shopping.
The revised twin share price of £725 per person includes return flights from Heathrow or London City, first class rail transfers, rail excursions – as above – and three-star hotel accommodation with breakfast throughout.
Other trips reduced in price include the four-night Peaks of the World at £533 per person (saving £62) and the seven-night Panoramic Roundtrip at £797, a reduction of £93.
