Science & nature school trips
Schools that want to develop their pupils' interest in science may be keen on taking them on educational trips where they can learn more about the subject.
One way to get kids interested in a topic is by getting them to see how it is implemented in real life – and embarking on a school excursion can do this.
By taking a look at Equity School Travel's services, you'll see that we offer tours to different areas of the world, bringing youngsters face to face with the most relevant locations for the topics they are learning at the time.
And if you want to encourage a group's understanding of biology, you may wish to embark on science trips to Geneva, or take tours to South Africa, Cornwall or Florida.
Learn about science and nature abroad
Geneva is a great place to develop students' knowledge of science and nature as it has a host of natural sights, such as snow-capped peaks and striking gorges where they can see many scientific processes firsthand.
Among the places to visit, CERN – the world's biggest scientific centre – should be high on the list.
Students can have a guided tour of the facility, gaining an insight into its history and the projects that are being undertaken, as well as the work that scientists conduct every day.
You may also want to head to Chicago to see a variety of science-related exhibitions, such as the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum, where you can learn more about outer space.
Or, the Museum of Science and Industry could be of interest to those who want to understand more about how the subject has been implemented into real-life processes through the years.
If your group of schoolchildren are studying wildlife, then a trip to Kenya could be an option. You will be able to go on a safari in the Masai Mara and get up close with wild animals, including lions, elephants and hippos.
To experience a different side to nature, head to the Dutch coast where you can see a variety of flowers in bloom, as well as visit the Euromast and harbour in Rotterdam to take a lift to the space platform.
