If you've booked Turkey flights for your family, you should include Olu Deniz beach on the west coast in your travel agenda.
Those looking for a laidback holiday in a cheap hotel in Turkey will find that Olu Deniz beach is definitely the destination to visit.
This is a particularly popular stretch of sand – and is one of the most photographed beaches in the whole world – and you will find there is much to get up to here outside of sun-worshipping and going for a dip in the azure ocean.
There are some fantastic restaurants serving up delicious dishes for you to sample once you've left the Majestic Hotel in Olu Deniz in Turkey – or wherever else you decide to stay.
You might enjoy the Pirate's Inn, Aladdins or the Beach Restaurant, the latter of which is a great eatery with a rather sizeable menu.
These are all ideal if you want to try Turkish food, but for some broader Mediterranean cuisine, why not book a table at the Secret Garden or the Buzz Grill and Restaurant, which both have excellent views and food?
If you're keen to be as active as possible while on holiday, you are sure to be happy with a stay near Olu Deniz. There are some great diving opportunities here and seasoned divers come from all over the world to take to the water. If you're a novice, there are introductory try dives held here as well, so you can pick up a few skills while on holiday.
Alternatively, you could give paragliding a go – certainly not something you're likely to try at home. The Babadag – or Father – mountain that towers over the beach helps to create the perfect conditions for this sport and is thought by many to be the best site in Europe and even the world for paragliding.
You can also indulge in lots of water-based activities – unsurprising considering that the ocean is right on your doorstep here.
However, you can head to the river as well to engage in numerous other pursuits, such as white-water rafting. The Dalaman River is perfect for this sport and you will be able to book such excursions for a thrilling ride down the waterway.
Another pursuit you might be taken with is horse riding, where you can ride over the local dunes, the beach or through some of the cooler forest paths to be found in the area.
If you and your family are looking for a day trip worth taking and you've booked your holiday between June and September, you really should consider heading to Butterfly Valley, which is nestled in a particularly interesting canyon that has steep cliffs on either side and stretches for around 3 to 4 km.
Here, you may well come across the unique Jersey Tiger butterfly and are sure to be astounded by the thousands of brightly coloured butterflies that inhabit the valley.
Such a day trip would interest anyone fascinated by the natural world and would certainly charm youngsters keen to take a few interesting holiday snaps of their time in Turkey.
Whatever you choose to do in this part of the country, holidays to Olu Deniz are sure to create some fantastic memories for all the family.
