New Year holiday ideas in Egypt

Hotel chain Kempinski has launched some festive packages offering New Year holiday ideas in Egypt.
The Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo will be celebrating its first Christmas with special brunch menus that will be available from 13:00 to 18:00 local time in the Blue and Osmanly restaurants.
Diners will be able to sample king crab, octopus, quail eggs, grilled veal lion and chicken saltimbocca.
In the hotel’s Chocolate Lounge, guests will be treated to mince pieces, gingerbread and Yule log, accompanied by a selection of Dammann tea.
Cairo’s Kempinski Nile Hotel will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a Russian-style gala and masquerade party, complete with a seven-course dinner, vodka cocktails and music.
Holidaymakers spending the festive season at the Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay in the south of Hurghada can attend an end-of-year party with a theme of ‘eat the world’.
Visitors will pass through five dining venues each serving cuisine from a different region.
Highlights will include the Beach Comber restaurant and its menu of Caribbean cuisine and La Pergola, which will serve up a Mediterranean feast.
The hotel offers rooms starting from 345 euros (£291), based on double occupancy with breakfast included, between December 12th 2010 and January 6th 2011.
