Travellers planning a trip to Madagascar can make sure they make the most of their trip with the help of a new guide.
Madagascar Travel Companion by Sara LeHoullier is available now on Amazon.co.uk.
The writer has been exploring the island since 2005 as a Peace Corps volunteer, researcher and traveller.
She has enjoyed a range of experiences, from sampling unusual local cuisine to exploring areas of untouched rainforest.
Ms LeHoullier compiled some personal recommendations and recollections for the new guide, which is designed to help adventurous travellers get off the beaten track and discover the local, authentic side of Madagascar.
The author said: “I wanted to help travellers, especially English speakers, to have the unique experience and authentic cross-cultural exchange that they deserve, at the pace they could determine themselves.”
“[I] had the desire to give Malagasy people the opportunity to show themselves off to the rest of the world through this travel companion,” she added.
People planning a trip to Madagascar can find out more about the island on Ms LeHoullier’s website at spotlightmadagascar.org.
