British holidaymakers looking for a great Italian lakes vacation without the exorbitant price tag might be wise to check out Lake Iseo.
According to ActivityBreaks.com, Lake Como and Lake Garda have become so popular that they are beginning to price most Brits out of the market.
However, Lake Iseo, the sixth biggest in Italy, boasts a number of award-winning lakeside towns where holidaymakers can relax and take in the natural beauty around them.
Families and couples can stay in Iseo, Lovere and Pisogne, as well as Montisola – the largest inland island in Europe – with accommodation ranging from campsites to luxurious hotels and lakeside villas.
With numerous shops, cages, gelato bars and restaurants to choose from, the towns offer Brits a real taste of Italy, while those who wish to sample the local drinks can take advantage of the wine bars and small pubs that can be found surrounding the beautiful lake.
Lake Iseo is located in the north of Italy, close to Brescia.
