Gap Adventures will offer a special tour this year to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the founding of Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city.
In tribute to the “longevity and cultural vibrancy” of the destination, the operator announced that it would offer a 20 per cent saving on its Photograph Indochina tour, which will coincide with the birthday festivities on October 10th 2010.
The itinerary encompasses a number of highlights in south-east Asia, such as the Angkor Wat temple complex, the centre of Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Prices for the tour start from £888 per adult and more information is available from Gap Adventures’ website.
Bruce Poon Tip, the company’s founder, said: “I’m delighted that we can provide travellers with an opportunity to experience Hanoi at one of the most exciting times in its history.
“We’re aiming to grow the community of travellers who embrace the incredible culture and history of destinations like Hanoi and we think this is a perfect itinerary to introduce them to the city, its beautiful scenery and its wonderful people.”
Gap Adventures offers travel experiences all over the world, from riverboat trips along the Amazon to archaeological tours of Jordan.
