Travellers looking for holiday ideas in Slovenia might be interested in taking a “Christmas market trip with a difference” with tour operator Just Slovenia this year.

The company is offering three-night festive breaks in Ljubljana in December that include a pass to the capital city’s Atlantis Water Park.

Ljubljana comes to life during the festive period with markets selling a range of handcrafted gifts, seasonal foods and other items for visitors to take home as souvenirs.

Special events and performances are also arranged for Christmas, including street theatre shows, children’s choir concerts and the opening of an ice skating rink.

As well as getting some of their shopping done, visitors can head to Atlantis Water Park to explore the complex’s three areas – Adventure World, Thermal Temple and Sauna Land.

The attraction boasts 16 pools, 15 saunas, underground caves and plenty of slides, wave machines and whirlpools for families to enjoy during their visit.

It also comprises relaxation areas offering a number of treatments and pampering options.

Just Slovenia’s three-night Christmas market and water park break in Ljubljana starts from £433 per person based on two sharing, which includes return flights from London Stansted in December, airport transfers, bed and breakfast at the Central Hotel and entry to Atlantis.
