Andorra opens for the ski season

Andorra will be open for the ski season from this weekend, with initial snow fall looking good.
Last weekend provided a good layer of snow with up to 40cm of snow on the high slopes and 20cm on the lower slopes.
With a further 10cm to 15cm expected to fall in the next few days, clear blue skies and a low wind chill factor, forecast conditions are predicted to be perfect.
Andorra’s two ski regions are Vallnord and Grandvalira. Grandvalira incorporates the resorts of Soldeu, El Tarter, Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig, Encamp, and Canillo.
Vallnord takes in the popular areas of Arinsal, Pal and Arcalis.
Andorra has recently undergone infrastructure developments, which have improved lift services, resorts, quality of accommodation and ski school standards.
Positioning itself as a value for money destination offering unrivalled ski tutoring combined with excellent beginner and intermediate runs, the resort is ideal for British families as the ski schools boast the largest number of British instructors for any European resort.
The UK’s main tour operators to Andorra, (Neilson and Inghams and Crystal), start their season on the December 20th (Neilson) and December 13th (Inghams and Crystal) respectively.
