Dorset
Located at the heart of the West Country, Dorset boasts a remarkable range of indoor and outdoor activities and attractions designed to suit all tastes – no matter what the weather! Key among them are the botanical gardens at Athelhampton, the unusual sub-tropical garden of Abbotsbury or the listed English Heritage garden of Kingston Maurward. There is also a Tudor castle at Portland and further delights at Forde Abbey. Nearly a hundred miles of Dorset coastline has also been awarded World Heritage Site status – ranking the Jurassic Coast alongside the Grand Canyon and Great Barrier Reef as one of the natural wonders of the world. Aside from the natural wonder of the region, guests can also visit the UK’s only museum dedicated to Dinosaurs. Guests can also experience coastal walks or the bracing sea air along Chesil Beach, a wealth of outdoor watersports, cycling, trekking and, for the more adventerous, Zorbing.
