Travellers planning a trip to Argentina have a new accommodation option, following the opening of the InterContinental Mendoza.
The property is located in the heart of the South American country’s wine region, on the main thoroughfare between the city of Mendoza and the capital Buenos Aires.
It comprises a total of 180 guestrooms, as well as a range of amenities including a full-service spa, swimming pool, gym and restaurant.
Owned by KLP Emprendimientos SA, the hotel could provide a base for travellers visiting Mendoza to go hiking, cycling, fishing or rafting.
The region is known for its adventure tourism offerings and attracts more than 700,000 visitors every year.
Alvaro Diago, InterContinental Hotels Group’s chief operating officer in Latin America and the Caribbean, said: “This property is another major milestone in our company’s long history in Latin America.
“Mendoza is a spectacular destination, both for business and tourism, and we applaud the KLP Emprendimientos SA team for constructing a truly spectacular property.”
The chain manages a total of 18 hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean, with one establishment currently open in Buenos Aires and another under construction in the Nordelta area of the city.
