Paris
The jewel of France, Paris has long seduced every kind of person, from hipster bohemians to fashionistas, from brainy intellectuals to vacationing sightseers.
A major draw of France and all of Europe, millions have made Paris the top destination in the world. To describe every attraction that Paris has to offer in anything less than thousands of words would do the city an injustice. The Eiffel Tower, the iconic emblem of Paris, is at the top of the last of many a tourist's itinerary and offers a spectacular view from the top. Down the river Seine lies the Notre Dame Cathedral, considered the finest example of the intricate, astounding Gothic style. The World's most famous museum – the Louvre – celebrates classical art and will take several days to see in its entirety. The enormous Avenue des Champs-Élysées stretches from the yawning arch of Arc de Triomphe, past rows of shops, restaurants, and hotels. Enchanting parks and gardens line the banks of the river Seine. The Jardin du Luxembourg is the largest garden in Paris and a sublime place to spend an afternoon, while the Jardin des Plantes is Paris' main botanical garden, offering in addition a zoo and four museums.
