Varna
The largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, Varna is a major tourist destination with the best nightlife in the country. The Varna Museum of Archaeology houses the oldest gold treasure in the world dating from 4,500 BC, which was discovered near the port in 1972 in a site known as the Varna Necropolis.
Visitors can pay a visit to the Sea Garden, the oldest park in the city, which is said to be the largest landscaped park in the Balkans. It houses an open-air theatre, an aquarium, a zoo, and several other attractions. There are also several popular shopping areas in the city, such as the boutique rows along Prince Boris Blvd. There is more shopping at Piccadilly Park and Central Plaza north of the city centre to serve the tourists resorts in the area.
