Director opens Buenos Aires property

Award-winning film director Francis Ford Coppola has opened up his Buenos Aires townhouse to visitors.

Open to guests for the first time, Jardin Escondido is located in the Palermo Soho neighbourhood of Argentina’s capital city.

Visitors can either book individual rooms in the six-bedroom property or rent the entire house for a group holiday.

Highlights of Jardin Escondido include an interior designed by Eleanor Coppola, the filmmaker’s wife, and a wine library with an on-call sommelier and wines supplied by Coppola’s own vineyard.

Guests can also visit the studio where the director finished writing his latest film Tetro or explore the estate’s three ‘hidden gardens’, which are home to a solar-heated swimming pool and a barbecue area.

Travellers interested in staying at the house can book with specialist tour operator Exsus, which is offering a seven-night stay from Â£1,875 per person, based on four people taking two rooms on the bottom floor.

The price includes international flights to Buenos Aires and airport transfers.
