With the Winter Olympics set to take place in February 2014, Powder White has launched a new ‘ski-racing’ package. Created to help keen skiers channel their inner-champion, the package is perfect for adrenaline junkies who want to master the Giant Slalom discipline and get more from the mountains this season.
The new package includes six hours of Grand Slalom and Duel Slalom training with professional race coaches. Skiers will learn to master the gates before a competitive ‘knock out’ session, where newly acquired skills will be put to the ultimate test against fellow learners.
The day’s training takes place on the famous La Tania Stade piste, a demanding red run perfect for advanced skiers looking for a challenge and fittingly set in a resort originally built for the 1992 Winter Olympics. There’s nowhere better to experience the thrills of ski racing than the Three Valleys, home to first class resorts, including Courchevel and Meribel, and some of the world’s most exciting terrain.
The Powder White ski-racing package costs from £448 per person, including seven nights fully-catered (with select dinner wines and unlimited house wine) in Chalet Le Misti in Courchevel 1650, plus six hours of Giant Slalom training with an experienced ski-racing instructor, based on a December 7th arrival.
The archetypal Alpine chalet has four bedrooms, catering for up to eight people, with an open plan living room and a large balcony with stunning views. Located in the heart of Courchevel 1650, the chalet is close to the popular bars and restaurants the village has to offer, ensuring there’s plenty to do on and off the slopes this winter. Travel and transfers can be arranged upon request.
