Jumeirah Group has signed an agreement with PT Asia Pasifik Properti to operate a luxury resort on the island of Bali, Indonesia.

The Dubai-based hotel chain announced that the Jumeirah Bali will be located in the south of the Jimbaran district, offering views of the famous Dreamland surfing beach and providing direct access to the exclusive New Kuta golf course.

Due to open in 2015, the property will consist of 80 suites and 25 private villas surrounded by tropical gardens and architectural aspects reflecting the island's cultural heritage.

Guests will be able to sample a range of international and local foods and three restaurants and pay a visit to Jumeirah's signature Talise Spa and fitness centre.

Gerald Lawless, executive chairman of the hotel group, said the company is "delighted" to bring its "stay different" brand experience to Bali.

"Our guests will enjoy the exclusive and pristine beachfront location as well as the
traditional Balinese ambiance of the resort," he added.

"This reaffirms our commitment to celebrating the cultural uniqueness of every destination, while offering our award-winning service in the most luxurious settings."

The Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai is currently the chain's only property in Asia, with a further five establishments currently under development in China and another set to open in Thailand.
