The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) has launched a new project to promote golf holidays in the emirate.
Golf in Abu Dhabi is a marketing and product packaging initiative developed in partnership with golf clubs and other stakeholders, including hotels and destination management companies.
It will promote the popular leisure activity as both a primary reason to visit the emirate and part of the overall visitor experience.
The UK and Ireland are two of the key source markets for the campaign, along with France, Germany, Scandinavia, China and Japan.
Saadiyat Beach, Yas Links and Abu Dhabi golf clubs are among the championship-standard courses taking part in the programme and will be offering low rates to visitors.
Other playing facilities in the destination include an 18-hole country course at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club and a sand course at Al Ghazal Golf Club.
More information about golf and other activities available in Abu Dhabi is available from the destination's official consumer website.
The ADTA recently announced that the emirate's hotels welcomed a record 182,553 guests in October 2011, 21 per cent more than in the same month last year.
Properties in the region attracted nearly 1.7 million visitors in the first ten months of the year, meaning they are on track to meet a target of two million guests for 2011 as a whole.
