Travellers looking for things to do in Berlin will be spoilt for choice if they decide to visit between October 13th and 24th 2010.
The Festival of Lights will provide an array of impressive spectacles throughout the German capital city, including fireworks shows and displays of lamps and lanterns.
Famous landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate will be among dozens of structures and buildings shown in a new light during the festival.
Accommodation provider LateRooms.com highlighted some of the special events that will be taking place, such as the 'light-seeing' tours provided by the festival organisers.
There will also be one-off occasions like the Night of Open Doors on October 16th, which will give visitors a 'behind-the-scenes' glimpse of some of the participating venues and attractions.
Music fans planning a break in Berlin this autumn might want to check out Jazz at the Ministergardens on October 22nd, which will present performances by the likes of Kitchen Grooves, the Contrast Quartet and the Dietmar Osterburg Trio near Potsdamer Platz.
The city is also home to permanent attractions such as the Bode-Museum and the Berliner Dom.
