AirAsia X provides access to Malaysia via Kuala Lumpur

Travellers interested in experiencing the exotic sights and tastes of Malaysia can take advantage of a sale from Air Asia X.

The carrier announced that it is offering a "low-cost escape route to sunnier climes" by cutting its fares from London Stansted to the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur by 20 per cent.

Customers should make their booking online at AirAsia.com before Sunday (September 5th) to take advantage of the discount prices, which are available for travel up to November 14th 2010.

AirAsia X confirmed that its flatbed seats - which it claims are typically 50 per cent cheaper than business class fares on full service airlines - are included in the sale.

Chief executive Azran Osman-Rani said: "AirAsia X's 20 per cent sale is a chance for travel bargain hunters to get unbeatable value for money on a trip to Asia.

"Our extensive route network - through the hub of Kuala Lumpur - opens up a great range of options for guests to connect across the globe - and with the weather proving to be a wash out in Britain, why not look further afield for better weather!"

The carrier's network from Kuala Lumpur includes links to Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast in Australia and Seoul in South Korea.
