Lonely Planet has launched a free new Vancouver city guide iPhone app to coincide with the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

Those travelling to the city to support their nation will now be able to seek out Vancouver's highlights such as the UBC Thunderbird Arena, the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Capilano Salmon Hatchery with the new app entitled 'Vancouver Travel Guide: The Sights.'

Lonely Planet has included over 70 sights and shows, integrated Google maps and location based navigation, as well as some fun Vancouver facts and useful hints and tips.

The free app can be downloaded via iTunes or the iPhone app store and is ">
available now through to March 1st, 2010.
